Driven by our scientific curiosity, we seek a deeper mechanistic knowledge of chemical systems and their applications in the modern world. Through association within our group and with our collaborators, we are ambitiously driven to solve complex problems with worldwide implications.

The Kissel Research Group at Lewis University focuses on inorganic chemistry and materials science. Our group has two primary research focuses:

1) Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and MOF-based materials

2) Ligand design and coordination chemistry - particularly as it applies to the bio-inorganic mechanism of Amyloid Beta peptide aggregation in Alzheimer's Disease.
